Voodoo Music Experience is a multi-day music festival in New Orleans, Louisiana that was originally held on Halloween weekend in 1999, it has since moved between the weekend before Halloween and Halloween weekend throughout the years. The festival will be returning to Halloween weekend in 2009.
The lineup for the 2009 Voodoo Experience has been released. Headlining this year’s festival are Kiss, Eminem, Jane’s Addiction, Widespread Panic, and The Flaming Lips. Eminem announced on his Sirius satellite radio show, Shady45, that the Voodoo Experience would be his only performance in 2009.
The Voodoo Experience has hosted over 450 artists and close to a million fans over its 10-year tenure and has been twice nominated for Pollstar’s Music Festival of the Year.
