It is awesome when a veteran legendary Metal band puts out a new record and proves just why they are legends with incredible new music that ROCKS! The reformed German Metal band Accept has done just that.
With the departure of original singer Udo Dirkschneider in 2005 to continue with his own band U.D.O. the future of Accept was in limbo. Rather wait around for Udo or call it quits the band recruited ex TT Quick vocalist Mark Tornillo to front the band for a 2009 reunion tour. Re-energized and hungry for new material with their new singer Accept announced the writing and recording of a new record to be released September 14th, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records titled ‘Blood Of The Nations‘ and from what I have heard so for this is going to be an instant classic Heavy Metal record.
Accept released the first new song ‘The Abyss‘ (listen below) and the first new video for the song ‘Teutonic Terror‘ (see below) and played their first live show with the bands new line-up May 8th, 2010 at the 750-capacity Gramercy Theater in New York City. Accept will be touring Europe during the month of May.
You can also see a video for the making of the ‘Teutonic Terror‘ video and the appearance of Accept guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and new singer Mark Tornillo on a recent episode on VH1 Classic’s ‘That Metal Show‘ below.
