Wolfmother Video ‘New Moon Rising’

Hurrah, it’s here! You’ve been taunted with the teaser, now prepare your eyes for the kaleidoscopic visual feast that is the “New Moon Rising” video, premiering now…

An onslaught of color, effects and cut up animation, the “New Moon Rising” video was prepared by New Zealand directors Special Problems, and is an arresting display of psychedelic voodoo and the perfect jump off point into the world of the new record, Cosmic Egg.

The worldwide online premier of “New Moon Rising” will come courtesy of our friends at Pitchfork.com.

And as a special treat for those in Australia, the television world premier will be made from MTV at 5:00pm AEST, repeating exclusively for 24 hours.

Together Wolfmother and visionary rock photographer Danny Clinch for a collaborative documentary and photo exhibition featuring an exclusive, behind the scenes peek at a day in the life ofthe band.

For several days, Danny followed Wolfmother around Los Angeles, taking more than 4000 photos and also producing a film depicting his vision of rock-and-roll and showing his amazing images come to life.

Says front-man Andrew Stockdale, “Absolut introduced us to Danny Clinch, inspired us to collaborate and gave us the space to do our thing. The best results happen when artists are trusted to do what they do best, and Danny has used that freedom to capture an authentic day in the life of Wolfmother – recording in the Sunset Studio in L.A., playing a gig and hanging out at the Roosevelt Hotel. This campaign invites people behind the scenes to experience a bit of the classic rock-and-roll dream.”

The project is part of the launch of Absolut’s Rock Edition bottle, a limited edition bottle wrapped in a leather and studs gift pack.
