Volume 4: Songs In The Key Of Love And Hate
Multi-platinum Flawless / Geffen Records artist Puddle of Mudd continue to tour the U.S. in support of their fourth studio album, Volume 4: Songs In the Key of Love & Hate. The band joins fellow powerhouses Shinedown, Sevendust, Chevelle and 10 Years on the Carnival of Madness Tour this summer, kicking off July 16th in Jacksonville, FL at Jacksonville Arena.
The video for Puddle of Mudd’s new single “Stoned” premieres today on MTV2 and MTVU (check out the video below).
“Making the ‘Stoned’ video was a blast,” says frontman Wes Scantlin. “We got to destroy stuff, rock out with hot dancers and knock down a huge wall with a karate kick. It was a totally rock ‘n roll big dog video shoot and we hope you all enjoy it!”
“Stoned” is currently #10 on the Active Rock chart and rising fast after only 5 weeks. The band performed the song last month on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and played the album’s first single, “Spaceship,” on Jimmy Kimmel Live in January.
Puddle of Mudd is singer/guitarist Wes Scantlin, guitarist Paul Phillips, bassist Doug Ardito and drummer Ryan Yerdon. Since their 2001 debut album Come Clean, Puddle of Mudd have sold over seven million albums and boast a steady string of Number One smash hits including “Blurry“, “She Hates Me,” “Control,” and “Psycho.” The band shares the coveted title of having the second-most Number One songs of the decade on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart with just three other bands. In fact Come Clean generated four Number One hits including “Blurry,” which became the most played track on Modern Rock Radio in 2002, earning Puddle of Mudd the ASCAP award for Most Played Song of the Year. And the hits keep coming.
“We just keep writing hooky and catchy stuff, because that’s how we write,” explains Scantlin. ”We write songs for our fans and we’re going to bring it 110% every night on tour. That’s our job and we love it!”
