RUSH: Beyond The Lighted Stage

Wow am I excited, a full length feature documentary about one of my all time favorite bands…RUSH, I can’t wait. I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve (come to think of it I still get pretty excited on Christmas Eve) anyway the documentary titled RUSH: Beyond The Lighted Stage (cool title, you know ‘All The Worlds A Stage’ the first live record from the band) is brought to you by those globe trotting metalheads Scot McFadyen Sam Dunn and who also rocked us with ‘Metal: A Headbangers Journey’ (2005) ‘Global Metal’ (2007) and ‘Iron Maiden: Flight 666′ (2009).

To capture the band on film, Scot and Sam would Fly By Night across the Hemispheres, and experience the Caress Of Steel, quickly realizing that in deed All The Worlds A Stage. As they sped toward the year 2112 to meet up with the members of RUSH they got the chance, as the band would Exit Stage Left to take a behind the scenes look at what Alex, Geddy and Neil have done for the past 35 years plus to ride the Permanent Waves and create the greatest Progressive Hard Rock music ever. This is not A Farewell To Kings, it is one of the greatest Moving Pictures ever to capture RUSH as they demonstrate Grace Under Pressure and display all the Signals that point to the secrets of the bands success. As Scot and Sam rolled up their Power Windows begging the Priest’s to “Hold Your Fire” suddenly, Presto! Alex, Geddy and Neil appeared, ready to Roll The Bones. They asked their Counterparts in music, Scot and Sam for A Show Of Hands to see if they were ready to Test for Echo and capture RUSH going through their Different Stages for this incredible documentary. When they left, Vapor Trails could be seen as they streaked back to the year 2010 avoiding the Snakes and Arrows along the way to share their Feedback and show us what RUSH is all about.

The film will premiere at this years Tribeca Film Festival in New York Saturday April 24th with all three members of this legendary band in attendance. Below is a description of what you can expect with this film:
