Whitesnake cancels remaining Judas Priest tour dates

It’s official. Whitesnake founder and vocalist David Coverdale who is suffering from laryngitis has canceled the remaining dates on the 2009 Judas Priest summer tour.

After playing four (4) songs for the show at Red Rocks in Colorado, Coverdale stopped the show and told the crowd “that he tried, but could not go on”. His affliction will take more than a few days to heal and no word on a return date has been announced.

A replacement band for Whitesnake or lengthening Judas Priest’s set has not been announced at this time.

As I stated in my review of the bands show on August 4th in San Diego, Ca, Coverdale was struggling to hit the notes and sing the songs he recorded in his prime. This might have been from the onset of laryngitis or could have caused it, stay tuned.
